PQ ÖL ThermoL COL 46 is a heat transfer fluid covering a wide range of conventional applications through its low viscosity and good heat transfer properties. Excellent thermal behaviour contributes to efficient operating conditions. Good thermal and oxidative stability prevents residue deposits, viscosity increases and major flash-point reductions, ensuring stable operation and reduced downtime. Low viscosity enables good flow and easy system start-up at low temperatures and high circulation efficiency in all weather conditions.
Application
PQ ÖL ThermoL COL 46 should not be mixed with other oils because this may impair interpretation of oil analyses and shorten oil life. Avoid contact with air because oxygen accelerates heat transfer oil ageing. With appropriate maintenance and professionally designed heat transfer systems, service lives of up to several years can be achieved with PQ ÖL ThermoL COL 46.
PQ ÖL ThermoL COL 46 should only be used in forced-circulation systems. Systems relying on convection for heat transfer circulate fluid too slowly to prevent local overheating and rapid oil decomposition. If escaping or spraying from leaks, Swd Rheinol Thermocur 46 can ignite spontaneously.
PQ ÖL ThermoL COL 46 is used:
- In closed indirect heating and cooling systems in all types of industrial processes up to 290°C and at atmospheric pressure.
- In open systems with a supply temperature no higher than 155°C.
- In systems down to a minimum standstill temperature of -5°C.
